Students enrolled in this vocational 2 Years Program of Studies are expected to earn a Diploma in Executive Secretarial Studies. The program seeks to prepare students to undertake, with efficiency, the duties of a private secretary. Furthermore, the program of Executive Secretarial studies prepares students to progress further in their studies to Higher Diploma level and higher. This program consists of compulsory courses as well as of elective courses and it requires a minimum of 120 ECTS credits to graduate. 

The aim of the Program is to prepare the student to undertake, with efficiency, the duties of a private secretary. In addition to skills training, the curriculum concentrates on providing the student with an awareness of business problems and the means to deal with them effectively.  Furthermore, the programme offers the student an opportunity to develop the capacity to think and plan ahead and the ability to act on his/her own and take decisions both at personal and employee level.

  • To provide students with high quality education regarding the responsibilities and duties of a contemporary secretary
  • To train students in order to respond effectively as secretaries to the high demands of modern enterprises, Banks, semi-government and government institutions.
  • To offer students theoretical as well as practical training in order to be able to respond successfully regarding office administration issues and the high technological demands of a contemporary labour market. 
  • To understand the role of the private secretary within the organization and through a practical approach to his/her education in this field, to have efficient skill, adaptability, initiative and resourcefulness to meet the requirements of employers.
  • To develop the ability to listen to and record accurately material in Greek dictated within a variable speed range, and transcribe it accurately.
  • To produce (using a Greek and English Keyboard) accurate transcription in an acceptable and consistent format.
  • To acquire the ability to cope competently with the changing technologies of the Secretarial profession
  • Recognized Secondary School Certificate (Apolytirion) or equivalent qualification.
  • Graduates and Holders of a Recognized – Accredited 1 Year Certificate in Secretarial Studies.

A system of continuous (course work) which is 40% and final Exams which is 60% and the Passing mark is 50%, as follows:

  • During the semester, the instructor evaluates the students through a) Course Work which consists of: Tests, assignments, individual or group project, mid-term exams and / or other tests. The average of the scores is the continuous assessment score.
  • The final examination is carried out at the end of the semester.

The Passing mark is: 50%
